As our biggest assignment in my Current Trends and Forecasting course, my group and I were to create a mock magazine of our choice while studying and focusing on a specific trend. My group chose to create a mock Kinfolk Magazine and to focus our trend on "The New South." We really wanted to hone in on the modern culture of the South that has been fused with southern traditions that we as Americans associate with this region. All articles, photo shoots, advertisements, and even recipes were aimed to be centralized this overall trend while keeping our Kinfolk audience in mind. My role in this group project specifically was, but was not limited to, the Design Director. I also assisted in styling, writing, and art direction.
